OperatorPartner

Stage: Call for design partners

Real-time multivariate process observation for pharma manufacturing — the institutional pattern memory that persists across shifts.

What it is

Real-time multivariate process observation for pharma manufacturing equipment — bioreactors, filling lines, chromatography columns, lyophilizers, CIP loops. A small kit at the equipment combines live cameras, optional sensors, and your existing historian and MES data with ColdVault's multi-model debate engine. The result is multivariate PAT (Process Analytical Technology) — continuous institutional knowledge that persists across shifts, extending single-parameter alarms with multi-parameter reasoning, batch-history context, and SOP-aware interpretation.

The pain it solves

Today's MES sequences steps; it doesn't make the judgment calls between them. The judgment calls live in the heads of senior operators — and across the industry those operators are retiring faster than they can be replaced.

The foam pattern looks wrong but the agitator speed is at setpoint.
The column pressure is trending up within limits — but the slope suggests it will alarm in twenty minutes.
The CIP return conductivity is technically passing but drifting against the last three cycles.

How it works

The kit installs at the equipment: cameras pointed at sight glasses, gauges, foam patterns, fill levels — observing the equipment, never the operator. Optional vibration, acoustic, and thermal sensors capture readings the original equipment didn't instrument. An edge compute box ties the kit back to ColdVault.

In design-partner deployments, OperatorPartner is designed to read your existing historian (PI / OSIsoft / Aveva), your MES (Syncade / PAS-X / PharmaSuite), and the new sensors, comparing everything against the active SOPs and batch history. When a multivariate pattern crosses the panel's confidence threshold, the operator gets a contextual advisory with reasoning and historical precedent — for example, “pressure trending toward upper limit 20 minutes ahead of the hold step where cooling capacity is constrained; a similar pattern preceded a documented deviation event.”

Where we are today

Early access. We are recruiting design-partner sites for the first pilots. Architecture is built; product behaviour will be co-shaped with our first two or three customers. This page describes what OperatorPartner is designed to do — design-partner results will refine the specifics.

See: Always advisory & GxP validation

OperatorPartner never writes to your control system. The operator decides. The operator acts. The system logs the observation, the recommended action, and the operator's decision into an audit trail designed to support GxP validation against ALCOA+, Annex 11 / 21 CFR Part 11, and emerging Annex 22 guidance.

Qualification ownership stays with you — we provide the validation method and supporting evidence. Commercial model: OpEx subscription per station, with terms shaped during the pilot.

The reasoning runs on ColdVault — encrypted infrastructure, purpose-trained pharma models, multi-agent supervisor architecture. Every OperatorPartner observation is debated by multiple models in parallel before reaching the operator; the audit trail captures all model perspectives, the moderator's verdict, and the operator's decision.
